Constructive Criticism wanted on latest MarylandZoo.TV episode...

We've tried a new style with the latest (10th) episode of the show and I'd love to hear what you guys think. Stick it to me, have no fear. Give me as much con crit as you can manage. It will be greatly appreciated.

Definitely different than the others, thats for sure. The new classical like music you used seem to fit the new style well but they're were a few parts where I felt it seemed a tad off. For example, when you focused on the donkey and the music was playing it seemed a tad weird but at the same time, it is a donkey. Those animals plus classical music is kinda off so thats to be expected. I would say if the music was a tad more instrumental and a little less of the techno-like sound bites in the background, it would fit and work better with the noble donkey and chickens. The other part I saw that kinda rubbed me the wrong way is the sudden end to the episode. The entire episode was done with a sense of professionalism and good use of music then for it to end so suddenly with a black screen kinda took me aback. I watched a few more times and it was a good spot to end the video but the actual cut-off still seemed to be a tad sudden for me when in contrast to the rest of the episode. Hope these help, overall I liked the style of this episode, it was something different and shed a good light on the zookeepers. Later!

Thanks for taking the time to write that up brett! We've changed the music at the end so that should solve the main issue people have with the episode.

This is a big departure from the traditional Zoo TV shows. We probably won't ever go in this direction again with the Zoo - but it was good practice for future episodes. I like the overall style and can see how it will translate well to other subjects.
